In a quiet, vast forest, Mama Squirrel searches for nuts for her children. However, with enemies lurking, she and her kids must stay in their nest. Unable to resist the pleas of the two little ones, Mama Squirrel tells a story about the Gruffalo: Once upon a time, there was a kind and clever little brown mouse (voiced by James Corden) who was strolling through the forest when he was attacked by a fox, an owl, and a venomous snake. In a moment of urgency, the little brown mouse claimed he was going to meet his friend the Gruffalo. The Gruffalo is a giant, terrifying creature, who particularly loves to eat foxes, owls, and snakes. His big talk scared off the enemies, but the fun was just beginning... This film is adapted from the original book of the same name by British author Julia Donaldson and illustrator Axel Scheffler, and it aired on the BBC channel during Christmas.
