In a small mountain village of Daone near Trento in northern Italy, a group of grandmothers in their eighties is planning a special trip. Their local elderly club, Rododendro, is about to celebrate its twentieth anniversary, and on this special day, they want to do something extraordinary: to travel to the seaside and hold a celebration for Our Lady of Snow. Most of the grandmothers have never been to the sea, and they want to see the mysterious ocean at least once in their lifetime, but they need funds to prepare for this important journey. The grandmothers have thought of many ways to raise money, such as making and selling cakes, and even overcoming their shyness to create a calendar featuring themselves as models. However, these efforts have had little success, and financial issues continue to be a problem, leading to conflicts among the grandmothers. Yet, some are unwilling to give up on this dream and are determined to keep trying, even if only for once. When the grandmothers began to engage with the internet, things seemed to take a different turn. Can they really achieve their dream?
