Due to overwhelming loneliness, Sherlock Holmes injects cocaine all day, while his friend Dr. Watson strongly opposes this self-destructive behavior. One day, Holmes receives a mysterious invitation to watch a Soviet ballet. The ballerina, Petrilova, wishes to unite with Holmes because she wants a child and hopes that the child's father's intelligence and her beauty will create a good offspring. Holmes politely declines. A few days later, Holmes receives a strange package containing a note with his address found in the hands of an amnesiac woman who had been rescued from the River Thames.
