Eight strangers, each with different identities and none knowing each other, wake up at the same time to find themselves in a cube-shaped room. No one remembers how they got there, and no one knows where they are. A few people investigate and discover that each of the four sides of the cube has a door leading to another identical cube, differing only in the traps and mechanisms within each room. The entire structure of the building resembles a crisis-filled cubic maze, filled with supernatural phenomena that modern science cannot explain. The eight individuals face numerous hardships, and some fall victim to unforeseen dangers; who will manage to escape this nightmare? This film is the low-budget, critically acclaimed Canadian science fiction thriller “Cube” (also known as “Cube 2: Hypercube”), a sequel that comes four years after the original, produced and distributed by the Hollywood B-movie powerhouse Lionsgate. The film continues the narrative framework of the previous installment and further introduces the concept of four-dimensional space, making the overall style of the movie more abstract and peculiar.
