On the night of April 3, 1997, around 10 PM, a college student named Zhao Zongbi was brutally murdered in the restroom of a fast-food restaurant in Itaewon, Dragon District, Seoul, South Korea. The scene was horrific. Zhao was the only child in his family and was known for being humble and polite. His death came as a tremendous shock to his family. After a meticulous investigation, the police eventually narrowed their focus on Korean-American eyewitness Pearson (played by Jang Geun-seok) and Korean-American Alex (played by Shin Sung-rok). The two unruly youths initially denied the crime but then accused each other of being the real murderer, each presenting completely opposing accounts of the incident. Officer Park Tae-sik (played by Jung Jin-young), who was in charge of the case, struggled to uncover the truth, and the investigation reached a deadlock. After repeated interrogations and court sessions, will the real murderer finally emerge? This film is based on true events.
