Line worker Tom Witzky (Kevin Bacon) and Maggie (Kathryn Erbe) are an ordinary American couple living in the suburbs of Chicago with their son Jack (Zachary David Cope) and Maggie's sister Lisa (Illeana Douglas). Their lives are relatively uneventful until Lisa, young and seductive with an air of mystery, hypnotizes Tom at a party, leading him to experience a brief but terrifying dream. This experience leaves Tom unsettled, as strange visions begin to appear before him, shrouding their lives in an eerie atmosphere. Meanwhile, young Jack seems to share his father's strange feelings… This film is adapted from the novel of the same name by Richard Matheson and won Best Film at the International Horror Magazine Awards in 2000.
