The film is a remake of the 2004 Korean film "The Long Way Home." The plot follows a corrupt cop, Brother Feng (played by Chen Bolin), who must recover stolen diamond goods taken by his brother, Xiao Qiang (played by Hou Yanxi), within 48 hours. He tracks a phone signal to a certain village but can't find him. In the eerie atmosphere, the villagers led by Xu Bo (played by Chen Yiwen) engage in a series of psychological battles, and as the chaos escalates, a female ghost (played by Chen Yihan) also causes trouble, infusing the story with unexpected humor.
