Films about alien invasions can generally be approached from two angles: either with a light tone or a heavy style. There are no shortcuts, and it’s impossible to rush through it carelessly. Unfortunately, "Space Killer Clown" still attempts to find a middle ground, choosing "circus" as its medium. Imagine that the so-called grand conspiracy involves a group of alien dwarfs dressed as clowns causing chaos on Earth, transforming humans into sparkling cotton candy with laser guns—beyond creating a dazzling spectacle, few can truly engage with the plot and understand it. In fact, "Space Killer Clown" is a film with a strong surrealist style, offering little entertainment, and its core theme isn't particularly eye-catching, making it somewhat challenging to sit down and watch it calmly. For most people, if a movie about alien clowns is not humorous at all, what is there to enjoy? Fortunately, among the many similar themed movies that followed, this one stands out as relatively good.
