In the hot, desolate lands of New Mexico, mysterious disappearances occur frequently, and due to its isolation, the tragic stories inside are hard to know for the outside world. One year after the Carter family stumbled into the territory of mutated cannibals and met with a gruesome fate, a group of eight National Defense soldiers is sent to this wasteland for a training exercise. While six of them are sent into the mountains, the remaining soldiers, French-descended Napoleon (played by Michael McMillian) and blonde soldier Amber (played by Jessica Stroup), stay behind at the base. Strange occurrences soon unfold as a horrifying hand emerges from a toilet, and a scientist, covered in excrement, crawls out and dies after uttering, "Beware of them." Amber insists on going up the mountain to warn the others, but little do they know that mutated cannibals have already laid a web of traps along the complex mountain paths, waiting for their unfortunate prey to come and meet their demise...
