This is an ancient house shrouded in mist year-round. The newlywed woman (played by Chen Hong) is the sole owner of this old house, as both of her parents died during the Cultural Revolution. At night, she is awakened by a strange sound, which turns out to be her father's screams from when he was tortured. After that, various strange noises continuously haunt her at night, leading her to suspect that she has developed a phobia. Her husband (played by Zhu Shimao) brings in a psychiatrist, Dr. Lu, to treat her and convinces her to undergo hospitalization, but soon, upon learning that she is pregnant, her wife sneaks back home. At this time, the original screams become even more chilling, leaving the husband in a state of constant anxiety. They decide to move out of this ominous place. Taking advantage of the moment, he lunges at the male host with a knife and escapes into the basement of the old house amidst the audience's gasp...
