Police chief David (played by Albert Dupontel) lost his beloved wife during a mission, and the killer, a human trafficker named Dimitri (played by Alain Figlarz), was never caught despite his wife's death. After some time evading justice, Dimitri completely disappeared, and David's life fell into darkness. In 2025, David still hasn't overcome the pain of losing his wife and has been fixated on finding Dimitri for revenge. One day, the body of a young woman named Manon (played by Mélanie Thierry), with strange scratch marks on her face, is discovered, and her death is intricately linked to Dimitri. David quickly begins the investigation, leading to the resurfacing of a cosmetic surgery clinic run by Professor Bruggen (played by Marthe Keller).
