Due to troubles with work and family, Roy Solomon (played by Dylan McDermott) and his wife Denise (played by Penelope Ann Miller) move with their teenage daughter Jessie (played by Kristen Stewart) and young son Ben (played by Evan Turner) from the bustling metropolis of Chicago to the desolate North Dakota.
