After the media reported on the doll murder incident, it raised concerns for the toy company that produces "Chucky" regarding market prospects. The toy company retrieved Chucky's remains for repairs, trying to prove to shareholders that the murderous doll was just a rumor. However, upon completion of the repairs, Chucky was resurrected, causing chaos and ultimately escaping. Meanwhile, Andy (played by Alex Vincent) and his mother are undergoing therapy, and a kind couple temporarily takes care of Andy. According to the soul transfer spell, Chucky must inhabit the body of the first person who knows his secret—namely, Andy—if he wishes to avoid the fate of being personified along with the doll. Chucky's time is running out as he seeks Andy to invade his body once more. In his efforts to evade Chucky, Andy faces misunderstandings and scolding from the adults around him, and the girl, Kyle, who has also been adopted with Andy, becomes embroiled in a series of extraordinary events as Chucky attempts to take over Andy’s body…
