Directed by Chung Siu-hung, this film aims to emphasize the grim decline of the Hong Kong film industry. It is not horror, but within limited conditions, it creates a tragic film that depicts filmmakers in a hellish nightmare situation. However, the film is excessive and out of control. Compared to the earlier film "The Yin Yang Road," which uses a ghost theater to satirize the difficulties in the film industry with dark humor, this one falls short. The plot tells the story of the last night before the year 1999 in an old cinema on King's Road in North Point, which is about to close down. The projectionist, played by Jai B. Lee, is showing the last film, with only his girlfriend, Yiu Lok-yee, in attendance. Unexpectedly, a haunting incident occurs. The film's scenes are piercing, and its dirty aspects are nearly unbearable. Numerous Hong Kong stars, including Lai Yiu-cheung, Ng Chun-yu, Lee Wai-man, Sun Ka-kun, Ng Chi-wong, and Chien Ka-lok, all personally experience the situation. The farce finally calms down when Jai B. Lee proposes to Yiu Lok-yee, which aligns with the devil's purpose of testing whether people can "see true feelings in adversity." However, this test is too extreme and cruel.
