"Thirty-Two" attempts to delve into the inner world of a "comfort woman" and is a documentary. The term "comfort women" has once been cloaked in the garment of "China's shame" in the hearts of many Chinese people. It was once a highly sensitive word. Many wanted to reveal it but dared not to expose it alive; many wanted to film it but feared disturbing their lives. This is a painful history that every Chinese person knows all too well. The dust is insignificant and thus unnoticed; the film's first shot is of falling dust, lasting a full thirty-two seconds, metaphorically reflecting our perspective and attitude in telling this true yet “blown away by the wind” story… Honor Memorial Hall of the Nanjing Massacre Victims by the Japanese Invaders/Nanjing Liji Alley Comfort Station Historical Site Exhibition Hall - Permanent Collection 2013 Chinese Documentary Academy Awards - Best Cinematography (Cai Tao) 2014 Phoenix Video Documentary Award - Best Documentary Short 2014 UK Wanfang International Chinese Film Festival - Best Documentary 2014 Binhai International Microfilm Festival - Best Documentary 2015 Chinese National Subject Documentary Retrospective - Special Award 2015 Richmond International Film Festival, USA - Best Documentary (Nomination) Screening China Film Directors' Association Beijing (International) College Student Imaging Exhibition Mani International Human Rights Film Festival Medway Festival of Film, UK American Documentary Film Festival Guangzhou International Documentary Festival Viewing Address: http://www.iqiyi.com/v_19rr9p3eqk.html Trailer: http://www.tudou.com/programs/view/aRLUdweMLfg/
