Gerardo (Tommy Lee Jones) is a hot-tempered and experienced police officer who recently received an important mission: to transport two hard-core criminals, including Mark (Wesley Snipes), to a detention center in Missouri. The journey is long and perilous, and an accidental incident causes the plane to crash into the jungle. Mark saves Gerardo, but soon he begins his escape.
