In the vibrant, comic-like city of Galilee lives a group of "rooftop people" who lead a simple and joyful life on the rooftops of the city's buildings. Among them are a few stylish and kind rooftop youths:浪子膏 (Jay Chou), 黑轮 (Keou Lun), 蛋花 (Song Jianzhang), and 花椰菜 (Huang Junlang). They were raised by姐 (Xu Fan) and work at Uncle Bo's (Zeng Zhiwei) pharmacy. When 黑轮 angers his colleague 红毛 (Huang Huai Chen) by assisting 雷哥 (Wang Xueqi) with rent collection for the mafia-like "City Association," it embroils his friends. Simultaneously, 浪子膏 encounters his long-time crush, actress 心艾 (Li Xin Ai), and they develop feelings for each other. However, 心艾's boss 威少 (Qiu Kaiwei), driven by jealousy, stirs trouble and joins forces with 红毛 against 浪子膏 and his friends, leading to a violent conflict. At a critical moment, 浪子膏 faces a significant choice between love and friendship. This film is Jay Chou's second self-directed and self-written movie since "Secret."
