"Commentary on Du Fu's Eight Poems of Autumn Feelings" is Ye Jiaying's most significant research work, depicting the rise and fall of the Tang Dynasty. This film uses it as a metaphor for the tumultuous years Mr. Ye experienced and invites musician Sato Sōmei to create a film score based on the Eight Poems of Autumn Feelings, blending traditional and modern music to breathe new life into Du Fu's poetry.
