During the Kangxi era of the Qing Dynasty, Huang Tianba rebelled against the Green Forest. Due to his success in secretly harming Dou Ertun, the leader of the Lianhuan Tiezhai, he was awarded a golden plaque by the emperor. Surprised by the honor, Huang Tianba hosted a celebratory feast. During the banquet, three flying blades shot toward him from the beams above, but the quick-witted Huang Tianba caught them with his hands and mouth. A skilled swordsman broke through the siege, and once Huang Tianba calmed down and examined the blade in his hand, he saw the character "Dou" engraved on it, realizing the reason behind the attack. It turned out that the swordsman was Dou Jinlian, disguised as a man to avenge her brother's murder. The next day, the town was bustling with people when He Lutung, a bodyguard from the Huang residence, came searching for Dou Jinlian, brutally killing a storyteller. Seeing the injustice, Du Jinlian drew her sword to help, but despite assistance from her senior brother Fang Yong, they began to struggle. Dou Jinlian, hidden in a teahouse, used her flying knife expertise to save them. Du Jinlian's father, Du Tianpeng, was sworn brothers with Dou Ertun and was also killed by Huang Tianba. She had come to seek revenge for her father. Upon returning to the stronghold, the new leader, Hao Sanshi, punished her with 40 strikes for descending the mountain without permission. To uphold the mountain rules, Dou Jinlian willingly accepted the punishment. One day, Hao Sanshi sent someone to call her, saying three righteous men had come to join them. It turned out to be Du Jinlian and Fang Yong, whom she had previously saved, along with Zhu Biao Shi, who had long wanted to abandon darkness and embrace light. A few days later, Hao Sanshi ordered Dou Jinlian and Zhu Biao Shi to steal the golden plaque to lure Huang Tianba out of his lair. However, Huang Tianba had already received a secret message from an undercover agent in the Lianhuan Tiezhai and was on guard. A few days later, Hao Sanshi decided to descend the mountain himself. Dou Jinlian ordered her subordinates to secure the stronghold against unforeseen events. Fang Yong and Du Jinlian captured a spy and discovered a letter from Huang Tianba to Zhu Biao Shi. Dou Jinlian temporarily detained Zhu. Hao Sanshi and the others successfully stole the plaque, and fearing that surrounding Hao Sanshi would damage the plaque and commit treason, Huang Tianba could only watch helplessly as they rode away. Dou Jinlian sent Fang Yong and Du Jinlian to interrogate Zhu Biao Shi. On the way, Fang Yong raised his sword to kill Zhu and persuaded Du Jinlian to join Huang Tianba. It turned out that Fang Yong was an undercover agent for Huang Tianba. With his hands bound, Zhu Biao Shi fought against Fang Yong, and Dou Jinlian clearly saw everything; she threw a flying knife, ending the traitor's life. Dou Jinlian and her group set a trap to lure Huang Tianba near Lianhuan Tiezhai, and suddenly the sound of cannons echoed as thousands charged from the forest. Huang Tianba realized he had fallen into a trap, but it was too late, and he ultimately died under Dou Jinlian's flying knife.
