During the reign of Emperor Guangxu, the national strength declined, and external threats became increasingly severe. In an effort to restore national dignity and save the people from peril, Qiu Jin, along with revolutionary figures such as Xu Xilin, conspired to launch a joint uprising in Zhejiang and Anhui. However, due to betrayal by a traitor, they faced severe repression from the feudal bureaucratic old forces, resulting in the failure of the uprising and the heroic execution of Qiu Jin.
