Zane (played by Charlie Sheen) is shy and socially awkward, fully dedicated to his career as an outer space civilization enthusiast. By chance, Zane receives a mysterious signal, and based on years of research experience, he immediately realizes that the signal is being sent by aliens. Excited, Zane reports the collected intelligence to his superior, but the superior does not believe the seemingly crazy Zane. Left with no choice, Zane decides to investigate on his own. Following the signal waves, Zane arrives in the outskirts of Mexico, where he meets a female scientist named Elena (played by Lindsay Crouse). Together, they quickly uncover an astonishing revelation—the source of the signal is not extraterrestrial, but from inside the Earth. This means that there are aliens disguised as humans living on Earth, and their sole purpose is to exterminate humanity by altering the climate.
