In a local tavern, a group of idle people gathers year-round to drink, smoke, chat, fight, and cause trouble, living a mundane yet comfortable life. This day is just like any other, with Sweetheart (Jenny Wade), the owner (Duane Whitaker), and the bartender (Judah Friedlander) warmly greeting customers, while the transient Tuffy (Krista Allen) has to hide in a room with her young son to avoid the loud and rude men. Suddenly, several bloodied individuals burst into the tavern and barricade the doors and windows. Amidst the shocked inquiries from everyone, they reveal the truth. It turns out these people have been attacked by some terrifying creatures, and this tavern, the most popular for hundreds of miles, has become a target for the monsters.
