During the Yemeni Civil War in 2019, a middle-aged couple lost their jobs due to the country's economic collapse. With three children, they were struggling to make ends meet, and the impending arrival of a fourth child made their situation even more desperate. Abortion seemed to be the only option. This film, directed by Am Jamal and inspired by a friend's true story, captures the daily life of this family of five through restrained and documentary-style visuals, showcasing everything from the difficulties of grocery shopping to the helplessness of being forced to move. The film conveys the struggles of this family through numerous details. It also explores the highly controversial issue of abortion in Yemen and the immense pressure faced by women. Nominated for the Audience Award in the Panorama section at the 2023 Berlin International Film Festival.
