Town newspaper reporter Sukie (Michelle Pfeiffer), sculptor Alex (Cher), and cellist Jane (Susan Sarandon) are three good friends living in the small town of Eastwick, and they all share the commonality of being unhappy in their marriages. The three often hold gatherings on Thursday nights to talk about life and men. On a stormy night, a mysterious man from New York arrives in town and purchases the Blue House, which has a century-old history and is rumored to have been used for executing witches. The man has an incomprehensible and hard-to-remember name—Daryl Van Horne (Jack Nicholson), and his arrival stirs up excitement in the town, while an ominous atmosphere begins to spread. It doesn't take long for the hearts of these three friends to be captured by Daryl, and various strange and magical occurrences soon follow… This film won the Best Actor Award at the 1998 Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films (Jack Nicholson).
