The film is based on the book "The Last Days of Hitler" and primarily starts on April 20, 1945, Hitler's 56th birthday, culminating in his suicide on April 30, 1945, depicting the last days of Hitler and his followers in the bunker. While it similarly portrays Hitler's final days, it offers a slightly different perspective compared to the 1955 film of the same name and the later 2005 film "Downfall."
