Nearly 60-year-old Ben Kalman (played by Michael Douglas) was once a wealthy car dealer in New York, but now he is surrounded by heart disease medications, scandalous rumors, and poor business decisions. His beautiful partner Nancy (played by Susan Sarandon) has left him, and he has fallen to the point of borrowing money from his daughter Susan (played by Jenna Fischer). Although he refuses to see a doctor and tries to rally support to make a comeback, he cannot control his desire for beautiful women and continues to chase after girls, even having an affair with one of Susan's close friends, which further alienates him.
