In the northwestern mountainous region of Yunnan, with towering peaks and layered ridges, more than a dozen ethnic minorities are scattered among the mountains, living a peaceful and simple life. Over fifty, Old Feng (played by Li Baotian) is a county judge. To resolve disputes among the villagers in the mountains, they periodically ride horses and carry the national emblem as they travel between villages, forming a unique and solemn mobile court. This trip involves three people: Mosuo ethnic group clerk Aunt Yang (played by Yang Yanning), who has collaborated with Old Feng for many years and is now retired; this is their final collaboration. Yi ethnic university student Alo (played by Lu Yulai) takes over Aunt Yang's position; he, full of scholarly air, is quite different from the experienced Old Feng.
