When she was still in high school, she was often bullied at school and had conflicts with her family at home. In a fit of anger, she ran away from home and went to a brothel to find work. At 17, she became a prostitute and changed her name to Bruna (played by Deborah Secco). Bruna worked hard, was dedicated, and, being young and beautiful, quickly became a top escort and made friends with her colleagues. After a drug scandal, Bruna and a few friends branched out on their own. She started a blog that quickly became popular online, attracting a steady stream of clients. As her career flourished and wealth poured in, even leading to appearances on TV and becoming a star, Bruna began to lose her way. She became addicted to drugs, struggled to find direction, and clients started to leave her. Thankfully, her first client remained by her side through it all. She discovered the love within her and gradually regained her strength, deciding to "retire" while bravely writing about her three years of experiences... This film is based on the true story of Brazil's "famous prostitute turned bestselling author."
