In ancient times on the continent of the Pacific Northwest, three Native American brothers, orphaned and relying on each other, survived by hunting. One day, the eldest brother accidentally wandered into a bear's den while hunting. The mother bear, thinking he intended to harm her cubs, killed him. The remaining two brothers developed a deep hatred for bears and vowed to exterminate them from the forest. Unknown to his middle brother, Denami, Kna ventured into the woods, and after going through great hardships, he finally killed a bear. His actions, however, angered the mysterious forces of the forest, and Kna was transformed into a bear. As a bear, Kna encountered Denami, who was searching the forest for his brother and mistakenly believed that Kna had also been killed by the bear. In a frenzy, Denami pursued the bear Kna. To restore his original form, Kna must embark on a journey to find the place where the earth meets the aurora. Along the way, he meets a lonely little bear named Kodi, and together they embark on this mysterious adventure.
