Vani (Anil Kapoor) has been quietly working in a factory, but his true dream is to make his often overlooked and underestimated daughter Lata (Divya Dutta) a highly admired superstar, just like his idol, Babita Singh (Aishwarya Rai). However, fate seems to be toying with Vani. One day, the factory where he works suddenly shuts down, leaving him in a dead-end. Unwilling to accept failure, he decides to switch careers and become a taxi driver, which becomes his only option for survival. On a fateful day, Babita Singh happens to ride in Vani's taxi. This unexpected encounter sparks a sinister idea in Vani; he believes that kidnapping Babita Singh might be a unique opportunity to fulfill both his and his daughter's dreams. He quickly gathers his friend Arti (Rajkummar Rao) to plan the kidnapping of the superstar.
