In a quiet little town, there lives a group of kind-hearted people. Middle-aged Andy (played by Jeff Bridges) soon after losing his job, finds himself divorced as his wife marries into a wealthy family, and their son begins living a life Andy could never provide. Poor Andy can only sit in a dirty bar, daydreaming about strange ways to get rich, and then recklessly attempts to put those ideas into practice, hoping to pull himself out of the gloom of his life. One day, while everyone else is worried about his deep contemplation, Andy suddenly has a bright idea and decides to dive into the porn industry, shooting adult films to make a fortune. A large group of friends in the town shows a keen interest in his plan, all pitching in money and effort, joining this makeshift adult film crew. They devise a complete shooting plan, but putting it into practice proves to be quite challenging. Ultimately, they do not manage to get rich from adult films, but this group ends up finding a different kind of "sweetness."
