The protagonist of the story is the renowned martial artist Wong Fei-hung (played by Shi Zhongtian) during the late Qing and early Republic eras. He is dedicated to performing righteous acts, resolving disputes, and providing medical care for injuries, earning a high reputation in the martial arts world. In addition to teaching martial arts at his own school, he frequently offers medical treatment, gaining widespread respect and admiration for his altruistic heart. One day, Wong Fei-hung is approached by Zhou Lide, the owner of the Deji Bar, who wishes to congratulate him on the opening of the Baozhilin pharmacy and asks for his assistance in seizing the Dingcai Cannon during the upcoming Guanyin Festival next year. Zhou Lide hopes to increase his wealth through this action. Wong Fei-hung hesitates regarding this request. He understands that violence is not the best way to solve problems, but also recognizes Zhou Lide's demands and the underlying societal pressures. He begins to reflect on his stance, contemplating how to strike a balance between morality and responsibility. Wong Fei-hung is well aware that his actions will impact the entire community, and he does not wish to cause negative consequences due to his choices. However, he also understands that sometimes action must be taken to uphold justice and assist those in need. At Zhou Lide's request, he begins to consider how to resolve the issue in a more peaceful manner.
