Chan Chi (played by Chan Bak-cheung) and Fat Cat (played by Wong Jing) are a pair of robbers who, apart from never using violence, have committed almost every bad deed imaginable. One day, Chan Chi encounters a woman named Cheung Man-chu (played by Maggie Cheung) while stealing a car. The beautiful Cheung Man-chu immediately catches Chan Chi's attention, making him fall in love. Unfortunately, while he has feelings, she does not. By chance, Chan Chi comes into possession of a diamond, which brings him wealth but also makes him the top target on the underworld's assassination list. As a result, Chan Chi hides the diamond in a high heel, which happens to be bought by Cheung Man-chu, who intends to attend a ball. At the ball, Cheung Man-chu meets the handsome Prince Tai (played by Poon Chan-wei), and the two feel a connection. However, Prince Tai turns out to be a deceitful person who, after obtaining the diamond, plans to kill her to cover his tracks.
