Meiiko Inoue (played by Aoi Miyazaki), Naruo Taneda (played by Kengo Kora), Kenichi Kato (played by Yoichi Kondo), Ai Kotani (played by Ayumi Ito), and Billy (played by Kenta Kiritani) are five friends who met in the light music club during university. Except for Kato, who was held back a year, the other four graduated and entered the workforce. They hustle every day, yet still find time to gather and enjoy the joy of music. Tired of the monotony of office life, Meiiko and her boyfriend Naruo both resign, with Naruo wholeheartedly diving into music creation. Unfortunately, in the overwhelming tide of commercialism, their music receives little attention. After a brief period of decline, Naruo decides to face life positively, but cruel fate halts his progress. The departure of loved ones and close friends brings immense sorrow to these young men and women. Meiiko ultimately chooses to pick up the guitar and sing the melodies that her lover composed with all his heart... This film is adapted from the original work by manga artist Inio Asano.
