During the Northern Song Dynasty, many legendary stories emerged from the age of chivalry. It is said that the Cat, Zhan Zhao (played by Zheng Shao Qiu), and the Mouse, Bai Yu Tang (played by Fu Sheng), were both wealthy young men from the same clan and disciples of the same master (played by Liu Jiarong). Zhan Zhao is calm and experienced, while Bai Yu Tang is competitive and eager to prove himself. The brothers often clash, and to showcase their skills, they engage in repeated contests under their master's guidance, ultimately causing their master to become so enraged that he expels them from the sect, leading them to wander the Jianghu. By chance, Bai Yu Tang saves the current emperor (played by Liu Jia Hui), but unfortunately, he misses the opportunity, which allows Zhan Zhao to gain the emperor's favor and enter the palace as an official, earning the title "The Cat." Upon hearing this news, Bai Yu Tang is greatly displeased and secretly infiltrates the palace to steal the imperial seal, leading to a timeless performance of the "Five Mice Stirring Up Dongjing"… This film is adapted from the novel "Seven Knights and Five Virtues."
