Zhi Gang (Liu Yong) and Zhi Qiang (Li Xiu Xian) grew up in a poor neighborhood. Zhang's mother (Nan Hong) works hard for others, while Zhi Gang shines shoes, enduring hardships to support Zhi Qiang's education.
