The Kingdom of Takikadi is established in a desolate desert. Currently, the 16th generation of King Charles is in power, who combines the third and fifth equals to the eighth, and the eighth equals to the sixteenth. King Charles does not like the people, and the people do not like him either. The king resides at the very top of a castle with over 200 floors, while the people are forced to live underground, out of sight of the sun, doing hard labor. The castle is filled with statues, portraits, and watchful eyes of the king. Despite having total power over life and death, King Charles also has his own troubles; he has fallen in love with a charming shepherdess. However, the girl is pursuing a chimney sweep boy, longing to escape the castle. The duo's escape is supported by a little bird.
Although the bird offers tremendous help, the shepherdess is ultimately caught by the king, while the chimney sweep boy and the bird are thrown into a lion's den. The dark environment saps the lions' courage, but spurred on by the little bird, they regain their former spirit. Thus, the lion pack and the birds head towards the king's wedding. Will the chimney sweep boy be able to rescue the shepherdess, and can King Charles's totalitarian world be shattered? The story of the King and the Bird unfolds, a tale of oppression and freedom.
