Near Tokyo, there is a city called Mahoro, which lies between urban and rural, where life is relaxed and leisurely, and even the weather forecast is unreliable. Next to Mahoro Station, there stands a dilapidated, inconspicuous little shop—Tada's Do-It-All Shop. The owner, Keisuke Tada (played by Eita), is a man with a failed marriage who runs the shop alone while providing various services to others, living a mundane life. By chance, Tada reunites with his junior high school classmate Haruhiko Akitani (played by Ryuhei Matsuda). This man, who also has a failed marriage and a quirky personality, temporarily moves into the shop and unknowingly becomes Tada's partner. They spend their days driving a small truck through the streets and alleys of Mahoro, brushing shoulders with all sorts of people and influencing each other's lives... The film is adapted from the original work by Shion Miura and won 4th place in the 2011 Film Quarterly's Top Ten.
