Young and accomplished Elizabeth Gilbert (played by Julia Roberts) is a popular writer for The New York Times, frequently traveling the world to write travel articles. Her life is equally enviable; her husband Stephen (played by Billy Crudup) is handsome and charming, and she lives a life of leisure without worries. However, Elizabeth gradually feels empty and anxious, as if everything around her is not what she truly seeks. She decides to leave her deteriorating marriage and embark on a journey of self-discovery. After a long divorce battle, she sets off to travel the world, thoughtfully contemplating life's various aspects through food, prayer, and love… This film is adapted from Elizabeth Gilbert's autobiographical book of the same name, with renowned star Brad Pitt serving as a producer.
