Frank (played by Allen Baron), a hitman from Cleveland, receives a new job on Christmas Eve. He returns alone to the city he once knew, with this target being the owner of a second-rate company. Frank tracks his target daily, looking for the right opportunity and entrusting someone else to prepare a handgun. The taciturn Frank refuses to communicate with others; a familiar acquaintance at a restaurant makes him want to escape, but the appearance of an old acquaintance, Laura, ignites a flicker of passion in him, though Frank cannot make her accept him. When his contact fails to provide the handgun, Frank, in a fit of rage, kills him. In a panic, Frank calls his employer, trying to terminate the agreement, but the person on the other end is furious, pushing Frank onto a path of no return...
