In the seaside town of Pak Khlang, Thailand, a young couple lives together. When the wife, Nana, is pregnant, her husband, Mike, is drafted and sent to Bangkok, leading to their separation. Nana watches sadly as Mike's boat disappears into the distance. Day after day, she waits for his return by the sea, while Mike is seriously injured and sent to a monastery to recover. Once he is better, Mike eagerly heads back home to see his wife and their lovely child so the family can finally live happily together.
