Mei Zi (played by Qin Wenjing) is a budding extra who, by chance, is fortunate enough to land a role as the stand-in for the popular film star Bing Bing (also played by Qin Wenjing), and joins the crew of "The Flower on the Other Side." After joining the production, Mei Zi realizes that everything happening here is vastly different from what she imagined; everyone is willing to go to any lengths to achieve their own goals. Even more terrifying for Mei Zi is the encounter with a ghostly woman that no one else can see. William (played by Ma Wenlong) is Bing Bing's boyfriend, and Mei Zi's innocence and kindness catch his attention, leading to a swift romance. However, when Bing Bing returns to the set and discovers William's unfaithfulness, she is furious and determined to expel Mei Zi from the crew. Just then, news of Mei Zi's accidental death arrives.
