Perry (Ewan McGregor) is a lecturer at Oxford University, highly respected by his students and colleagues. Along with his girlfriend Gail (Naomie Harris), they travel to Antigua to spend a long romantic holiday there. In Antigua, Perry meets a man named Dima (Stellan Skarsgård), and the two quickly become friends due to their shared interests. In fact, Dima's true identity is that of a millionaire from Russia involved in money laundering activities for a Russian crime organization; he is a money laundering expert. However, after being entrenched in such a dangerous industry for a long time, Dima feels exhausted both physically and mentally, and he hopes Perry can help him apply to the British intelligence service for political asylum.
