Tired of boring studies, Quaid (Shaun Evans) and Stephen Grace (Jackson Rathbone), along with his girlfriend Cheryl From (Hanne Steen), collaborate on a research project exploring the origins of human fear. They interview volunteers, asking them to share their personal fears. Meanwhile, the three of them slowly reveal their own emotional struggles. Stephen's brother died in a car accident, leaving him with an innate fear of cars and death; Cheryl's father worked in a slaughterhouse, causing her to develop a repulsion toward meat; Quaid witnessed his parents being murdered by an intruder at the age of six, leaving a bloody shadow over his heart. Their research gradually comes to an end, but Quaid's emotions become increasingly unstable, leading him to the brink of a breakdown...
