In 1994, New York, USA. Veteran Noah Diaz (played by Anthony Ramos) struggles to find work to pay for his brother's medical treatment but faces constant rejections. In desperation, he resorts to stealing cars for quick cash. To his surprise, his first heist involves stealing Mirage, a transformer who can take the form of a car (voiced by Pete Davidson), and he soon gets caught up in an intergalactic war. It turns out that the terror known as Unicron (voiced by Colman Domingo), the god of destruction, roams the universe, consuming energy-rich planets to sustain itself, and it urgently needs the "Transwarp Key" to satisfy its greed. Thousands of years ago, Optimus Primal (voiced by Ron Perlman), whose home was destroyed by Unicron, escaped to Earth with the key, and their whereabouts have finally been discovered by Unicron and its minion, Scourge (voiced by Peter Dinklage). So, humans, Autobots, and Maximals unite to confront the incoming threat...
