Time agent (Ethan Hawke) was once tasked with returning to the 1970s to stop the terrorist "The Anarchist" whose destructive activities caused great harm to the city. However, his mission failed, and after a long recovery, he sets out again, vowing to bring the anarchist to justice. Disguised as a bartender, he eventually meets a writer using the pen name "Single Mother" (Sarah Snook), who shares her unbelievable life story. Once an orphan named Jane, her quirky personality led her to briefly fall in love after failing to get a job at a space company, resulting in the birth of a baby girl, which dramatically changed her life. The agent plans to take "Single Mother" to kill the betrayer, but the truth is not so simple...
