Mario (voiced by Chris Pratt) and Luigi (voiced by Charlie Day) are two plumbers living in Brooklyn who have just started their own small business, but it’s clear that their families do not fully support the brothers' venture. One day, while working, Mario and Luigi are sucked into a bizarre world through a pipe. The two are forced to separate during their journey; Mario arrives in the Mushroom Kingdom, ruled by Princess Peach (voiced by Anya Taylor-Joy), while Luigi unfortunately gets transported to the Koopa Kingdom, ruled by Bowser (voiced by Jack Black). At this moment, Bowser is preparing a massive attack on the Mushroom Kingdom to kidnap the princess and marry her. Mario's arrival brings hope to Princess Peach, who takes him to the Jungle Kingdom to seek the support of its king and prince (voiced by Seth Rogen).
