Ah Huo (Jackie Chan) is a hot-tempered mechanic. He is not only agile but also an exceptional driver, having never realized his dream of becoming a race car driver due to his family's poverty. One day, the police approached him hoping he could help capture the mastermind of a car theft ring, Cook. Since Cook is an excellent driver, the police's many roadblocks to intercept him have been fruitless. Ah Huo gladly agrees to help. With Ah Huo's assistance, the police finally capture Cook after much effort. However, during detention, Cook is rescued by his gang. The car theft group also attacks Ah Huo's garage, and although Ah Huo narrowly escapes, his two sisters are seriously injured. Subsequently, Cook joins a Japanese car team and challenges Ah Huo to a race on a Japanese track. To take revenge, Ah Huo resolutely enters the competition!
