Sakiko Suzuki (played by Naomi Nishida) is a girl who has been particularly interested in money since childhood. After graduating from junior college, she finds herself idle at home. A joking remark from her family, "Since you love money, go work at a bank," surprisingly prompts her to actually seek a job at a bank. Before long, Sakiko is disheartened to discover that although she is surrounded by money all day, none of it belongs to her. Soon, the bank she works at suffers a robbery, and Sakiko is taken hostage along with 50 billion yen in cash. The robbers' car escapes into the Fuji forest but ends up in a car accident that causes an explosion, and Sakiko is thrown into the water along with the cash-filled box. After being successfully rescued, Sakiko is hailed as a hero, and the 50 billion yen is thought to have turned to ashes with the explosion. However, only Sakiko knows that the 50 billion yen still lies at the bottom of the lake in the forest. In her quest to find the lost fortune, Sakiko spares no effort and unintentionally begins a vibrant and unique new chapter in her life... This film won the Best Newcomer Award at the 21st Japan Academy Awards (Naomi Nishida).
