This documentary is directed by Manuel Alcalá ("Museum") and co-produced by Gerardo Gatica ("I'm No Longer Here," "The Miserable Jungle"), Inna Payán ("La Jaula de Oro"), and Luis Salinas, with narration by Daniel Jiménez Cacho, recounting the life story of investigative journalist Manuel Buendía. In 1984, Buendía was brutally murdered outside his office in Mexico City. This feature-length documentary, filmed 35 years after Buendía's death, gathers voices from Buendía's contemporaries to showcase the work he did, raising the question through these testimonies: who killed Manuel Buendía, and what were their motivations?
